Hula Halau 'O Kaleo 'Okalani

Aloha!

Thank you for visiting Hula Halau 'O Kaleo 'Okalani which means "The Heavenly Voice!" We are a traditional Halau (School) teaching Hula, the dance of Hawai'i, here in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our beloved Kumu (teacher)is Jerri Santos. She has been teaching for 36 years. She was born and raised in Kapahulu, Hawai'i and moved to Las Vegas in 1991. She started her Hula Halau in Las Vegas in 1992. She teaches Kahiko "traditional/ancient" hula with chants (Oli) and Auana "modern" hula with music (mele). She was inspired and taught by her Kumu Joan Lindsey. Today, her middle son Keola Santos, is the key musician for the Halau, who is now teaching ukulele lessons in the Halau. Please see "Class Information" for lesson schedules. Her many connections with the Hawaiian community has offered her halau many hula workshops with renowned Kumu Hulas.
